I've been waiting a long time to get an iPhone. People in the US have them. People in Europe. Even one of my friends in Cambodia has an iPhone--and they aren't really for sale there!
Finally, it is coming to Japan with Softbank. More info on why it will be popular in Japan here.

I want to buy i pod touch now... I hav normal i pod. but its boring.
BTW, I dont think i phone will be popular in Japan. cuz, japanese people feel satisfaction(?) about call phone selling in japan.
Anyway, the price will be most important point for 'be popular' or 'not be popular'

iPhone! mmm... I think it won't be popular in Japan, because it will be expensive, and inconvenient( need a lot of battery,too big for use a phone) And many Japanese changes cellphone about once a yesr for get new one. But I want to try to use in Yodobashi or Big Camera :P Are you going to buy it soon?

It looks like we have a mixed prediction: yes, no, and maybe--depending upon price.
I think people will like it once they try it. Japanese phones are very powerful and have lots of cool features, but sometimes they are hard to use.
I'm going to get one next month. They go on sale July 11. I can't wait!
Then, I think I'll give my iPod Touch to my wife.
